Custom Conscious Clothing

 

Kween Designs focuses on custom conscious clothing, particularly traditional Ankara prints in modern styles. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and never duplicated, which gives the client an exclusive design unique to their personality and fashion style.

I believe there is a strong psychological and physical connection to what we wear, so my designs have adinkra symbols like courage or beauty. These are iconic Black and African designs that my clients connect with when choosing their pieces and then embody their meaning. They know they are wearing fabrics and patterns that their ancestors wore, creating a bridge to our lost history.

Kween Designs works within the community to promote the importance of art and technical skills. We offer art and sewing classes throughout the Trenton and Philadelphia area.
